Scholarships & Tuition Waivers
Mountwest Tuition Waivers
Mountwest offers scholarships/tuition waivers for the following students:
- Resident tuition rates for members of the National Guard
- Employee, employee's spouse and/or employee's dependent children
- Children and spouses of law enforcement, firefighter, National Guard, Reserve or Active Duty military personnel killed in the line of duty
- West Virginia residents at least 65 years old
- High school graduates in foster care
Metro Tuition Waivers
A limited number of metro tuition waivers are available to incoming freshmen from Gallia and Lawrence county (Ohio) high schools. Students must apply through their high school counselors.
Scholarships
Mountwest Community & Technical College offers a variety of student scholarships based on academic achievement, community involvement, area of study and financial need, thanks to the generosity of a number of private donors. General scholarship opportunities for the fall semester are typically available in mid-March, and spring semester scholarships are available in mid-October. All scholarship applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012. Late applications will not be accepted. Completed application packages should be submitted to:
